Our History

Carol Martin Sommers and Zeta Rennie have been friends and business colleagues since 1981. In 1996, they melded their backgrounds and complementary experience and opened Staffing Solutions, LLC. Their first recruiting effort required they find someone to head up legal recruiting at their new Company. Linda Vega joined Staffing Solutions in 1996 overseeing all legal support recruiting and placement, as well as managing the office. In 1997, with the legal and business services/general clerical business booming, the Company doubled its office space and moved to its present location. We added our Attorney Recruiting and I.T./Engineering divisions in 1998. We believe the scope of legal/attorney, business services/general clerical, and I.T./engineering recruiting services we offer complement each other and provide a powerful staffing resource to the Oregon business community.

At Staffing Solutions, we are Oregonians who are keenly familiar with and interested in the local business communities and activities. Local roots bear local knowledge. We have over 125 years combined experience in human resource management, full-time recruiting, placement and temporary staffing industry ownership. In their 1996 annual survey and in our first year of business, The Business Journal ranked Staffing Solutions in the top 25 of Oregon women-owned businesses. In 2003, we ranked thirteenth in the same survey. We attribute this recognition to candidate and client satisfaction. As a company, we have always adhered to our core belief of building long-term relationships with our candidates and client companies.
