Sam Newman and the team at Staffing Solutions had my back during tough times. I spontaneously walked in for an interview in spring 2017, dressed in street clothes and without much preparation, and was kindly greeted and made to feel welcome. I sat down with Sam and went over my resume in detail, clearly explaining my life trajectory and what I hoped to gain from working with a temp agency. As a recent graduate and fresh face to Portland, I was looking to place my confidence in a support network that could help me find work that aligned with my goals.

Sam was incredibly supportive and made me feel like he genuinely cared. My first temp job was a 2 day assignment helping a local business reorganize their accounting files. Afterwards, I ended up landing a job through a personal contact and left Staffing Solutions.

One year later and after deciding that my chosen career field was no longer for me, I was back looking for work and Staffing Solutions was my first stop. I got in touch with Sam, who was friendly and eager to help me out yet again. I told Sam that I was looking to jump into a new career field and wanted to focus on gaining experience to find a better fit.

Shortly after we reconnected, I found myself working back to back temp assignments that exposed me to a variety of workplaces and positions. Each time one assignment ended, Sam was quick to check in with me and see how it went. Sam carefully took my feedback and applied it to his considerations for my next potential assignment. Despite feeling uncertain about my professional future, I was confident that Staffing Solutions could help me get one step closer towards my goals.

After a couple of months, I ended up landing a long-term temp assignment with a small business in NE Portland (with potential to be hired on) and I am certain about working here for several years. I cannot thank Sam and Staffing Solutions enough for considering my professional and personal goals and helping tailor assignments. If I am ever in a position where I need to find new work or decide to switch careers, I would not hesitate to contact Staffing Solutions first.

Staffing Solutions was the first staffing agency I applied at after moving to the Portland area. I quickly learned that using a staffing agency was going to be the best option to find a job that fit my interests, prior experience and future goals. Sam reached out to me within one day and met in person. He’s excellent at his job and you can tell he truly cares about recruiting and the people he helps on a daily basis. I landed a temp job within 1 week and have now just recently landed a permanent position. The company is a great fit and the position is everything I had wanted. I almost never write reviews, positive or negative, but in this case I wanted to shine a light on the fantastic services I got using Staffing Solutions. I’ve used employment agencies my entire life- both good and bad- and this is one of the most professional, accessible and downright nicest staff I’ve ever worked with. I had a wonderful experience with Staffing Solutions LLC. Five stars across the board. They were able to find me a position which was a perfect match. they challenged me to be the best employee I could be. I would recommend this firm for those candidates that are serious about their career. They were very helpful, providing tips on improving my resume and interviewing skills.
